One engine, three places to run it
Luma Owl is a developing and colour app with a LUT engine. It develops your RAW as light, matches any photo to a reference, and prints film on top. It runs in your browser at lumaowl.app. The Mac desktop app is coming soon.
The same grading engine everywhere. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is rendered on a server.
In your browser
Open the app and drop a file in. No install and no upload: the RAW is decoded and graded on your own machine.
Mac desktop app
The same app, native. Full-resolution export, the preset library and offline work, with your files staying on your disk.
Windows
A Windows build of the desktop app is in development. No date announced yet.
A grading engine, not a filter stack
Every dial moves real light. The order is the order of a darkroom: develop, match, print.
RAW developed as light
A 16-bit linear pipeline decodes the sensor data and works in light, not in pixels. Cleaner highlights, truer colour and a highlight recovery that actually recovers. Log footage and standard formats come in the same door.
Scene Match by reference
Point at a reference image and your photo adopts its palette and white balance. References are saved and keep responding to the dials, so a look can follow a whole shoot. Strength goes up to 150, and there is a single-colour mode when you only want one hue moved.
Film you can steer
Each stock carries its own Contrast, Fade, Saturation, Warmth and Crosstalk. Fast, predictable, and the right choice for everyday files.
Film simulated by its spectrum
The stock is modelled from published datasheets and simulated spectrally, with Scan and Print modes and Push/Pull. Recommended for log profiles and RAW.
Bloom, halation, grain, emulsion
Lens & Film is split into Bloom, Halation, Grain, Emulsion and Vignette, each with its own section, its own reset and its own summary. Light spills, highlights halate, the emulsion breathes.
Warper and local work
A sharp, touch-friendly warper for the geometry, plus the usual local tools. Everything renders live at screen resolution and exports at full size.
Four destinations, one grade
You grade once and choose where it goes. LUTs and presets drop straight into the classic editors, so the look survives outside Luma Owl.

- Colour profile
Every exported LUT, preset and profile carries a short attribution line inside the file. It is a line of provenance only: what you make is yours, to use and to sell. The detail is in the Terms.
